New data from the crypto analytics platform Santiment shows that the decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK) once again outpaces all other Ethereum (ETH)-based coins in terms of recent development activity.
According to Santiment, Chainlink saw 691.07 notable GitHub events in the past 30 days, making it the leading ERC-based project by development activity.
-->The validity rollup (ZK-Rollup) network Starknet is second in the ranking with 447.23 events. Ethereum follows with 334.07. Other leading ETH-based coins by development activity include the staking protocol Eigenlayer (EIGEN) with 300.2 activities and the layer-2 rollup Fuel Network (FUEL) with 295.53.
Santiment says crypto projects with more development activity have higher chances of seeing their products grow and gain user adoption.
The analytics platform says it uses a metric that tracks the number of relevant GitHub events that a project generates, or those that accurately reflect valuable developers’ contributions, excluding commits, forks, comments and project management events.
“These events are carefully filtered and predefined to be representative of real programming progress, meaning no low-value actions are taken into consideration. This way, any crypto-curious person can easily see which are the most active crypto ecosystems out there.”
Chainlink also topped the list of leading ERC-20 projects by development activity in June, July, September and October. The 13th largest crypto asset by market cap is currently trading for $18.53, down by 2.67 over the past 24 hours.
