China Daily Newspaper Mulls Metaverse and NFT Marketplace Launch - Here‘s The Latest

NFT marketplace OpenSea’s dominance in the NFT ecosystem faces a growing challenge from Blur’s rapid ascent.

After a delay, the zero-fee marketplace‘s highly-anticipated token is live. Blur, which launched in October, aims to incentivize pro traders to transact on Blur.

LooksRare users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies through MoonPay, which will allow users to purchase NFTs with a credit card.

A side-by-side comparison of the two NFT marketplaces using Nansen data suggests that while Blur has seen rapid growth in volumes, it is still lacking behind OpenSea in terms of number of sales and interacting wallets.

The platform, which targets pro NFT traders, said it would launch its BLUR governance token on February 14 after months of incentivized airdrops.

The popular NFT marketplace has introduced a tool that helps creators build their own collection-based storefronts for free.
