Ron DeSantis‘ Crypto Campaign Donations Delayed by Hurricane

The storm hit Florida first in the continental U.S., which may have stopped Ron DeSantis from joining Vivek Ramaswamy in accepting crypto donations for his presidential campaign.

Along with longshot Democratic hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Francis Suarez was one of the few openly crypto-friendly candidates running in 2024.

A filing in bankruptcy court from Florida‘s Office of Financial Regulation suggested the regulator still had the “administrative discretion” to charge Bittrex.

CBDCs Banned in Florida as Governor Ron DeSantis Signs New Bill

The new law, signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, also urges other states to take action against the potential introduction of CBDCs through their commercial codes.

Lawyers in a class action lawsuit alleged in a court filing that Ben Armstrong "began harassing" them after he was named as a defendant.

"What the central bank digital currency is all about is surveilling Americans and controlling behavior of Americans," said Ron DeSantis at a ‘Big Brother’s Digital Dollar‘ podium.

The Biden Administration is currently studying the possibility of introducing a central bank digital currency.
